The presence of air in the fuel delivery circuit affects proper engine functioning.
Air enters the circuit during fuel circuit maintenance and the installation of a new fuel filter.
Most modern systems include an automatic bleed system or a hand pump permanently installed on the vehicle, however it takes a certain length of time to bleed all the air from the circuit.
Modern diesel engines use two fuel supply methods:
- Pressurised supply: using an electric pump installed in the tank to discharge the fuel to the pump.
- Vacuum supply: using a suction pump to generate the vacuum that will carry the fuel to the pump.
This kit's couplings have been designed to enable the user to connect them to the greatest possible number of diesel circuits.
